In this Sunday’s gospel reading, Jesus uses a lot of shepherding imagery. He talks about a sheepfold (what’s that?) and a shepherd walking ahead of his sheep. These images would have been very familiar to his listeners at the time, but most of us today only see sheep in mattress commercials. So to help us better appreciate what Christ is talking about in our gospel this Sunday, Deacon Matt takes us on a little field trip to visit his own small flock of sheep.
