Preparing a reflection for Easter Sunday on Holy Thursday creates a sense of tension. How can we properly rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ while we are still contemplating his passion and death? But isn’t the Christian life itself like this: rejoicing in the hope of our future resurrection while still undergoing the process of death?
