Advent: A Time to Wait
First Sunday of Advent (A)
College students often talk about post-college life as the “real world.” This isn’t because life in college is not real, but we know it is temporary. We should be spending out time in college, therefore, in ways that help to prepare us to enter that “real world” that lies beyond.
The Christian life is like this, too. The life we live now is temporary. The “real world” is not this one — it’s the one to come. Advent reminds us to look forward to that final day when we will be united forever with Christ. Are we spending out time in this life in ways that will help prepare us for the next? That’s the message of this week’s video reflection.
