Parish Eucharistic Celebration | Sept 11-12

As this year’s annual Eucharistic Congress in Charlotte has been cancelled due to COVID-19, the bishop has asked each parish to celebrate our love of the Eucharist locally on those same dates. St. Mary’s has extended periods of Eucharistic Adoration planned, as well as talks and a Eucharistic Procession.

WCU students are invited to attend as much as possible, especially for the 11:00 pm to Midnight Holy Hour on Friday night, when Deacon Matt will preach about the Eucharist as Wedding Feast, drawing out the nuptial meaning of Eucharist and the Church as both Body of Christ and Bride of Christ.

It would help us greatly to get a head count, so students are asked to register for this hour at the below link.

Students are welcome to also sign up for any other hour of Adoration during the day on Friday, as well as to participate in Saturday morning’s events, including a Holy Hour of Reparation at 8:00 am, Mass at 9:00 am, a keynote talk by Fr. Paul on Miracles of the Holy Eucharist and the concluding Eucharistic Procession around the parish neighborhood ending with Benediction in the church (around 11:00 am).
